The Youth Public Proposal on Potential Reforms to The Commercial Law of Sri Lanka

The Commercial Law Reforms Sub-Committee – Special Unit appointed by the Ministry of Justice to propose law reforms to the commercial law sector of Sri Lanka, invited the members of the public, institutions, associations and corporations to submit written representations containing suggestions in relation to dispute resolution mechanisms and the regulatory framework of Sri Lanka, with a special focus on improving Sri Lanka’s standing in International commerce and the status of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Understanding that the commercial law of Sri Lanka serves as a foundation for the operation of both internal and cross border commercial trade, The Hype Sri Lanka Sub-Committee for Drafting The Youth Public Proposal on Potential Reforms to the Commercial Law of Sri Lanka, formulated this proposal to present a host of recommendations for reforming the local commercial legal system as a whole.
